Our story.

When co-founder Emily was told she might have ovarian cancer, she and her husband (and co-founder) Chris were lost.

Emily had brought herself to the hospital after weeks of experiencing symptoms and being turned away from different doctors with no clear diagnosis. That was just the beginning of her ovarian cancer journey.

The next weeks consisted of sifting through convoluted medical websites, fighting for timely appointments, navigating antiquated processes, battling medical gaslighting, and even hand-delivering medical specimens to secure second opinions in time to finally get the right diagnosis.

Emily was lucky. They caught her cancer in time, and she had a ridiculously determined partner by her side, who committed himself to going down every possible avenue to ensure Emily had the best possible outcome.

We saw first-hand how little ovarian cancer research and treatments are out there, and how painfully slow the diagnosis process can be — even when there’s no time to lose.

That’s why we’re on a mission to change it.
